Hillside Loft

We're excited to introduce you to our Hillside Loft! This light filled space was our abode not long ago, and sometimes I must admit, we miss it dearly!  Stephanie and I had a fun time pulling this home together.  With a variety of high and low pieces and with a neutral color palette, we were able to create a space that was both inviting and comfortable.

In the main living space we kept the palette pretty neutral.  With soft grays, warm wood tones, balanced with touches of gold and silver, we kept the aesthetic eclectic yet cohesive.  Details are an important part of design for us at Akin, and we of course sprinkled in some interesting ones throughout our home!

The dining area turned out to be my personal favorite in our small loft.  The mix of the cowhide, rustic dining table, modern Eiffel chairs, and the large scale abstract were the perfect combination for our style.

Lastly, we love this simple gathering at the end of the hallway for the variety of textures and materials we incorporated all into one little area.  It's be perfect introduction as you head into the master bedroom, which will be featured on the blog in the near future!
