vibe: pattern play

  Sooo.. it's been a great week hasn't it?! I am so unbelievably tired, it's unreal. Every second of our week has been scheduled away whether it has been from work, design appointments, or graphic jobs. Don't get me wrong, I love to be busy. I'm just thoroughly enjoying my sofa, pjs, and our faux fur throw - medicine for the exhausted brain I tell you. It's also nice to have time to sit back and write a little bit.

This week I'm more eager than usual for spring to arrive. The blossoms are almost opening up, the sun is shining, and it is still light when we get home from work. If only the temperatures would reflect spring's arrival... so this is my call for spring. I love the warm, colorful patterns that are out to play in this inspiration board. It's time to bring out your pops of color that have been hiding in the closet all winter and display them front and center. Try bright and unique pieces of art, patterned decorative pillows, or maybe a new rug to spruce up your space.

I love the artwork chosen to compliment each of the spaces. I feel like artwork can really tell a story about a person so I love how much personality these patterns add. Mixing patterns can be tough but results in a more sophisticated vibe to your design. Choose patterns with varying scale and complimenting colors in order to create a seamless pattern play.

Because you know what spring means... summer is just around the corner!
