color love: spring lilacs
My FAVORITE thing about spring is when the lilacs are in full bloom. They're not only gorgeous but they smell diiiiivine. They've always been my mom's favorite flower as well. She says there is a reason they bloom right around mother's day, it's like a gift to all the mothers out there, and I agree. Luckily we have some right out our window and I get to watch them go from buds to full bloomed scented beauties.
This is what inspired this month's round-up of interiors. It's fun to find how these colors that are seasonally inspirational have been used in design. We're working on one home now that has a very subtle lilac paint color in the master bedroom and it's soo good. I can't wait to bring just a few accents of color in the finishing touches to make it complete.
I feel like this is a color that is not currently common in interiors - but that might need to change. The images below feel so fresh and inspiring to me. Hope you love them too!
Light purples mixed with fresh greenery... yes please.
How about a giant lilac tibetan fur throw? Might as well..
